The overall goal of the Center
for the Study of Health Disparities is to stimulate
research; education; intervention development
and testing; dissemination; and evaluation in
a coordinated effort in partnership with affected
communities for the reduction and elimination
of health disparities.

On September 15, 1985, the national organization
of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. decided to
extend its legacy of service, brotherhood, leadership
and scholarship to yet another institution of
higher learning. For it was on that date that
the Pi Omicron Chapter was founded at Texas A&M
University.
